Engineers work on a range of technical challenges, including system architecture, data processing, performance optimization, and ensuring the reliability of production services.
About the Role:
We are looking for a talented and motivated Backend Engineer to join our team and work on challenging technical problems in cybersecurity.
In this role, you will design, develop, and scale backend services, contributing product features, core backend services, and supporting infrastructure. You will have the opportunity to take end-to-end ownership of your solutions, from architecture and development to deployment and production.
You will work in a fast-paced, engineering-driven environment alongside experienced engineers, architects, and cross-functional teams, solving complex technical challenges and building reliable, scalable systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services for cybersecurity solutions and supporting infrastructure.
- Take end-to-end ownership of features, from solution design and implementation to testing, deployment, and production support.
- Contribute to system architecture and technical design decisions, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Collaborate with product managers and cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver effective technical solutions.
- Build and optimize backend components that process large volumes of data from multiple sources.
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and continuous improvement of engineering practices.
- Work closely with frontend and DevOps teams to ensure smooth integration and deployment of new features.
- Troubleshoot production issues and participate in on-call rotations to maintain system stability.
Required Competence and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
- 5+ years of backend engineering experience with programming languages such as Java (preferred), Python, or Go.
- Hands-on experience with major cloud platforms such as AWS (preferred), GCP, or Azure.
- Experience with microservices-based systems and continuous integration and deployment.
- Good understanding of message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar) and their role in distributed systems.
- Hands-on experience in system architecture and design, including making technical decisions and contributing to the development of complex backend systems.
- Experience taking end-to-end ownership of backend features, from solution design and implementation to testing, deployment, and production support.
- Experience collaborating with engineering teams and product stakeholders to define technical requirements and deliver solutions.
- Excellent English and communication skills
Nice to Have:
- Experience in a startup or a small team responsible for delivering a new product or system.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, or backend data technologies such as Redis and Elasticsearch.
