We are looking for a Senior Python Developer to join a USA-based project. The team is building an intelligent B2B platform that helps businesses identify high-value opportunities, automate complex workflows, and leverage AI to make data-driven decisions. The product combines large-scale data processing, machine learning, and modern cloud technologies to simplify business operations and improve productivity.

Requirements:
— 5+ years of experience developing and delivering production-grade software in startup or high-growth environments.
— Strong backend engineering background with Python (FastAPI or similar frameworks).
— Proven experience designing and supporting API-driven systems (REST), asynchronous services, and distributed architectures.
— Solid knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL or similar), including schema design, query optimization, and performance improvements.
— Experience creating scalable, reliable backend solutions with a focus on code quality, system performance, and long-term maintainability.
— Practical experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, or similar platforms.
— Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to analyze and resolve complex production issues.
— Experience running backend applications in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure, or similar).
— Experience working with AI technologies, including AI-assisted development tools and integration of AI services (LLM APIs, automation workflows, or similar solutions).
— Ability to independently drive technical decisions and take ownership of complex engineering initiatives.
— Clear communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
— English — Upper-Intermediate level or higher.

Nice to Have:
— Previous experience working in early-stage startups or rapidly growing product companies.
— Experience working with data-heavy applications and large-scale data processing solutions.
— Understanding of cloud infrastructure and containerized environments (AWS/GCP/Azure, Docker, Kubernetes).
— Experience building and maintaining systems that rely on complex integrations and third-party APIs.

Responsibilities:
— Develop and maintain scalable backend solutions using Python.
— Contribute to the evolution of core product features with a focus on reliability, performance, and maintainable architecture.
— Build and enhance APIs, integrations, and backend workflows to support product scalability.
— Design efficient approaches for processing and working with large volumes of data.
— Own technical decisions, contribute to architectural improvements, and promote engineering best practices.
— Investigate and solve complex technical challenges, including performance issues and production incidents.
— Enhance system monitoring, reliability, and overall backend engineering processes.
— Work closely with product, engineering, and business teams to deliver impactful product improvements.
