Backend Engineer

Acropolium, together with its international partner, is looking for a Java Developer to join a project focused on building and maintaining scalable backend solutions in a Microsoft Azure environment.

You will be responsible for developing backend services, designing APIs, and delivering reliable, high-quality software using modern cloud technologies.

Project Details

• Location: Remote
• Collaboration: Full-time
• International team

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Java
• Develop and maintain REST APIs
• Build cloud-native solutions using Microsoft Azure services
• Design and optimize SQL / MS SQL databases
• Write unit tests and ensure high code quality
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions
• Collaborate with QA engineers, developers, and stakeholders

Requirements

• Strong commercial experience with Java backend development
• Experience building REST APIs
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure
• Experience with Azure Functions
• Strong knowledge of SQL / MS SQL
• Experience writing unit tests
• Understanding of software development best practices
• Good communication skills
• English — Intermediate+ or higher

Nice to Have

• Experience with Azure-native services
• Experience working in Agile teams
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines
• Cloud architecture experience
