A Germany-based client is looking for a Junior Java Developer. The company, founded in 2012 as a spin-off from a university research project, provides a big data-based service that crawls the web in real-time to enable retailers and manufacturers to keep a better tab on competitors and take action accordingly.
They make a perfect system for retrieving and comparing data from the internet, giving possibility to users for:
- Price monitoring on the Internet using structured data.
- Retailer monitoring in e-commerce (pricing policies).
- Price optimization for online retailers (intelligent price management) etc.
Requirements:
- Java 7 or 8 with 1+ years of experience;
- HTML, CSS, and JavaScript knowledge. Not for building websites but for retrieving data;
- Experience in working with parsers and crawlers would be great;
- MongoDB (for storage and testing);
- At least Intermediate English level.
Will be a plus:
- Oracle JDK 1.7;
- Maven;
- Experience with Git;
- Writing parsers and their support;
- Ability to write complex queries using MongoDB syntax and MongoDB queries on JavaScript (for testing);
- Plan: 2 parsers per week.
