🌟 About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Python Engineer to join an international product engineering team.

This is a hands-on position focused on designing, developing, and maintaining backend applications and services, improving existing systems, and contributing to the delivery of new functionality.

You will work primarily with Python, modern backend frameworks, cloud technologies, and distributed systems. The role offers opportunities to participate in technical design discussions, influence engineering decisions, and take ownership of solutions throughout the development lifecycle.

An important aspect of this position is the practical use of AI-assisted development tools and coding agents. We are looking for engineers who have already integrated these technologies into their daily workflows and can use them effectively to improve development efficiency and code quality.

📈 Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain Python backend services, including microservices built with FastAPI.
• Design and evolve APIs for internal services and external integrations.
• Improve the reliability and scalability of service-to-service communication, messaging, and data flows.
• Contribute to architectural decisions, design reviews, and the delivery of new features.
• Build and maintain production AI-powered features, including LLM integrations and prompt-based workflows where relevant.
• Improve testing, observability, performance, and operational reliability.
• Investigate defects and maintain existing functionality across the development lifecycle.
• Work across teams and repositories to deliver changes that span multiple services.
• Use AI-assisted coding tools in daily development and contribute to effective practices for their use.

💻 Required Competence and Skills:

• 5+ years of professional experience in backend development with Python.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and microservices architecture.
• Solid experience developing enterprise-grade web services using Python frameworks such as FastAPI, Django, or similar.
• Hands-on experience designing and developing APIs, integrating services, and implementing service-to-service communication.
• Experience with asynchronous messaging systems such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, AWS SQS, or similar technologies.
• Practical experience building, deploying, and maintaining cloud-based applications on AWS, including the use of managed services.
• Experience working with Docker and containerized environments.
• Extensive hands-on experience with AI-powered development tools and coding agents, integrated into the daily software development workflow rather than used only for occasional assistance.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership of technical decisions, and drive tasks from design through implementation and delivery.
• Excellent English communication skills.

➕ Nice to Have:

• Experience implementing AI-powered application functionality, integrating LLM-based solutions, or working with AI models.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and modern deployment practices.
• Experience developing and maintaining data-intensive applications or services handling substantial volumes of information.
• Exposure to frontend development, particularly Angular, alongside strong backend expertise.
• Experience contributing to cloud infrastructure, deployment automation, or other platform-related improvements.
• Previous technical leadership experience or an interest in gradually expanding responsibilities beyond individual contributions.
