Outstaff Hiring: Remote — Contract (Full-time, Long-term)

About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced PHP Developer to join a product engineering team working on a large-scale internal platform used for campaign management, inventory management, and operational workflows.

You’ll work on modernizing and expanding long-lived PHP applications, improving existing functionality, building new features, and integrating with multiple internal systems. This is a hands-on engineering role working closely with experienced developers in an agile environment.

What You’ll Do

Develop new features for PHP-based business applications
Maintain and improve existing legacy PHP codebases
Refactor existing components without disrupting production
Build APIs and integrate internal systems
Work with MySQL and relational databases
Improve application performance, stability, and maintainability
Participate in code reviews and technical discussions
Collaborate with distributed engineering teams
Document technical solutions when needed

Must-Have Requirements

Strong commercial experience with PHP
Experience working on long-lived or legacy PHP applications
Strong knowledge of MySQL or other relational databases
Experience designing and integrating REST APIs
Experience maintaining business-critical production applications
Comfortable working with existing codebases rather than only greenfield projects
Good understanding of software engineering best practices
Experience using Git and pull request workflows
Experience working in Agile teams
Good written and spoken English
