Backend Engineer

We have an exciting opportunity for a Java Developer to join our team in Lviv and work on an enterprise-scale project for a leading Swiss company in the automotive industry. You’ll be involved in developing modern digital solutions, collaborating with international teams, and working with the latest Java technologies in an Agile environment.

Requirements

• 3–4 years of commercial experience in software development
• Strong Java Core knowledge
• Strong understanding of OOP/OOD and design patterns
• Experience with Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring Security
• Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
• Understanding of NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis) and relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL)
• Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows
• Knowledge of unit and integration testing (JUnit, Mockito, Testcontainers)

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with Kubernetes and cloud platforms
• Experience integrating applications with LLMs

Non-technical skills

• English — upper-intermediate or higher
• Good written and verbal communication
• Responsible attitude to work
