Backend Engineer

LITSLINK is expanding its Python Talent Pool and is looking for experienced Python Engineers to join us for upcoming international projects.

Our clients range from fast-growing startups to established product and enterprise companies across the US and Europe. Projects vary from backend platforms and cloud-native applications to AI-powered products, data-intensive systems, and high-load services.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Python.
• Build robust APIs and microservices.
• Develop integrations with third-party services and external APIs.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Design and work with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Participate in architecture discussions and technical decision-making.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, frontend engineers, DevOps, QA, and other stakeholders.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.

Requirements

• 3+ years of commercial experience with Python.
• Strong knowledge of Python core and object-oriented programming.
• Experience with one or more backend frameworks:
• FastAPI
• Django
• Flask
• Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs.
• Solid knowledge of SQL and relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.).
• Experience working with ORMs (SQLAlchemy, Django ORM, etc.).
• Experience with Git.
• Understanding of software architecture principles and design patterns.
• Experience writing unit and integration tests.
• Familiarity with Docker.
• Experience working with Linux.
• Upper-Intermediate English (B2+) or higher.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience with Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of message brokers (RabbitMQ, Kafka, Redis Streams).
• Experience with Celery or background job processing.
• Familiarity with GraphQL.
• Experience building high-load or distributed systems.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of asynchronous programming (asyncio).
• Experience with AI/ML integrations, LLM APIs, or Generative AI solutions.
