- Develop reliable payment processing workflows with appropriate handling of failed transactions, retries, and edge cases.
- Work with ACH/NACHA payment flows and related integrations.
- Design and improve ledger, reconciliation, transfers, fund holds, and money movement functionality.
- Ensure payment solutions follow PCI DSS and relevant payment security requirements.
- Investigate and resolve complex production issues involving payment transactions and provider integrations.
- Contribute to backend architecture, API design, performance, and scalability.
- Collaborate with an international engineering team and independently own technical solutions.

Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for an engineer who has worked directly with production payment systems and understands how money actually moves through payment infrastructure.
You should be comfortable discussing authorization and settlement flows, payment failures, reconciliation discrepancies, chargebacks, provider integrations, and payment security.
Payments domain expertise is the primary selection criterion. Strong backend skills are essential, but experience building and operating real payment processing solutions is what will make you successful in this role.
If you have deep payment processing experience and enjoy solving complex backend challenges, we'd love to hear from you.
