Blockchain Engineer
Top Netics is an AI-native venture builder. We create and launch our own tech products across MENA, the US, Europe, and Africa, and we act as a technical partner for select clients, private companies and government organizations alike, from first prototype to full rollout.
Blockchain is one of our core practice areas: tokenization of real-world assets, blockchain-verified credentials, tokenized yield products, and permissioned deployments for public-sector clients. We are growing this team and are looking for a lead engineer who owns the architecture.

The role
You write, review and ship smart contracts on EVM chains yourself. You own the architecture decisions: which network, which standards, where the on-chain/off-chain boundary sits, how keys are held, how the system upgrades. And you know the ecosystem as a market: chains and L2s, custodians, exchanges, wallet providers, oracles, bridges, identity providers, auditors. You pick the right integration for a project and take it from due diligence to production.
You work across several products and client engagements with our and client teams, and you lead technical conversations with exchanges, custodians, chain foundations and government teams in English.
Your responsibilities
- Own blockchain architecture across multiple products: chain and L2 selection, token standards, custody and key management, upgradeability, interoperability.
- Design, implement, test and deploy smart contracts on EVM-compatible chains, including permissioned token standards, account abstraction and non-transferable tokens. Take them through external audit.
- Select and integrate third-party rails: custodians, MPC / wallet-as-a-service, exchanges, oracles, cross-chain messaging, KYC and identity providers, fiat on- and off-ramps. Run the technical due diligence, recommend, support the commercial negotiation and own the integration to production.
- Represent Top Netics technically in front of partners and clients.
- Translate regulatory and business constraints into on-chain design together with legal and compliance.
- Set the engineering standard for blockchain work: testing, audits, deployment and key-handling procedures, incident response. Review blockchain code across project teams.
- Track protocols, standards, vendors and regulation, and tell leadership what matters.
What we’re looking for
- 6+ years of software engineering, 3+ years in blockchain roles, at least one EVM system carried to mainnet and operated.
- Expert-level EVM: Solidity, gas and storage layout, proxy patterns, the attack surface, Foundry or Hardhat, fuzzing and invariant testing. Experience of going through an external audit.
- Architecture experience: you have designed a production blockchain system end to end, including indexing, key management, wallets and backend integration.
- Industry knowledge: you can compare custodians, exchanges, wallet providers, oracle networks, bridges, identity providers and audit firms.
- Fluent English, spoken and written (C1 or higher).
- Comfortable on the off-chain side: Node.js / TypeScript or a similar backend stack, Linux, Docker, CI/CD.
- AI-native way of working: Claude Code or an equivalent agentic coding tool in daily use, with full ownership of everything you ship.
Nice to have
- RWA tokenization. Permissioned token standards in production, on-chain compliance, custody arrangements, regulatory regimes, and how a regulated tokenized product is structured between issuer, custodian and distributor.
- Hyperledger Fabric.
- Decentralized identity and verifiable credentials.
- Hands-on cross-chain work: bridges, CCIP, LayerZero or comparable.
- Production experience in a second ecosystem beyond EVM.
- Rust or Go.
- Experience leading engineers and setting standards for a team.
