CTO (Chief Technology Officer)
🔴 about the company
futuremedia is a remote-first team building and scaling high-impact digital products across saas, ai-powered solutions, and consumer web and mobile applications. they operate a portfolio of high-traffic b2c subscription products in the us market, where each business unit functions as an independent p&l with dedicated product, growth, and engineering teams.
they move fast, think analytically, and focus on building scalable growth systems that drive measurable business impact.
🔴 the role
you understand how deeply engineering impacts the business, and you constantly prioritize by what matters most — revenue, the company, and product quality.
this is a hands-on, outcomes-driven role: you own delivery, infrastructure, and team performance, and you’re judged on business results, not activity. you prioritize whatever can move revenue now.
you’ll be a close partner to the ceo — the person who technically closes everything. In return, based on efficiency and results, you’ll earn bonuses you can allocate to yourself and your team.
What they need fixed from day one
- product-quality and revenue-impacting monitoring (uptime, errors, key funnels, payments) with slack alerts live within the first weeks.
- you define which metrics need alerts, build the flow for the tech team, and make sure alerts are caught and resolved fast — including weekends and holidays. this is overdue and non-negotiable.
- ai adoption with measurable output. not surface-level — actual, tracked impact on velocity, code output, or cost. you define the metric and report results.
- bias to execution over presentations. don’t spend weeks building decks for problems that could be fixed today. if something can be shipped, ship it before you present it.
- no “that was already in the plan.” if it was discussed, it gets built. we track commitments to completion, not to planning.
- simplify. if a process feels heavier than the problem it solves, cut it.
🔴 what you will be working on
think business-first: prioritize revenue, company impact, product quality, and speed—not technology for its own sake.
own technology strategy: set direction, make fast decisions, and partner closely with the ceo on growth and revenue.
stay deeply hands-on: step in across full-stack, frontend, backend, devops, analytics, and infrastructure whenever needed.
own delivery: drive teams toward shipped results, resolve blockers quickly, and continuously improve speed, automation, and efficiency.
set an exceptional quality bar: reliable, optimized, pixel-perfect products that perform consistently across devices, products, integrations, and load.
build a strong engineering organization: hire selectively, develop engineers and qa, and keep processes focused on shipping rather than ceremony.
own technology kpis and budget: understand performance, acquisition, dashboards, alerts, and product health at a detailed level.
understand the whole business: know how marketing, payments, support, and other functions operate and use technology to make them more effective.
stay close to execution: know what teams are working on, maintain structure and accountability, and bring solutions—not just problems.
