Data Scientist

We’re looking for an experienced Data Scientist to join our senior Data Science team and work on challenging, research-driven machine learning problems for a large-scale cloud-based platform.

You will investigate complex, open-ended problems, formulate hypotheses, design experiments, and develop machine learning solutions from initial research to production. Your work will focus on improving product performance, identifying anomalies, forecasting trends, and developing intelligent, data-driven solutions.

What You Will Do

• Independently investigate open-ended research questions, formulate hypotheses, and determine effective approaches to solving complex data-driven problems.
• Design experiments, develop prototypes, and build and evaluate machine learning models for anomaly detection, fraud identification, forecasting, and optimization.
• Analyze large-scale, heterogeneous, and multi-source datasets to uncover patterns, validate hypotheses, and generate actionable insights.
• Take promising solutions from research and experimentation through model validation, production deployment, and performance monitoring.
• Communicate research findings, explain model behavior, and translate technical results into practical recommendations in collaboration with the AI Engineering team and other stakeholders.

Main Requirements

• 4+ years of hands-on experience in Data Science and/or Machine Learning, including practical experience solving complex analytical problems.
• Strong knowledge of classical machine learning algorithms, including linear models and tree-based methods, as well as modern deep learning approaches.
• Strong proficiency in Python and data science libraries, including Pandas, NumPy, and Scikit-learn, with hands-on experience in PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Good command of SQL and experience working with large-scale, messy, and multi-source datasets.
• Excellent analytical reasoning and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently on loosely defined problems and present research results clearly
• Upper-Intermediate English or higher.

Nice to Have

• Strong mathematical background, particularly in statistics, probability, and optimization.
• Familiarity with NLP techniques and modern neural network architectures.
• Experience with cloud platforms and cloud-based data and ML tooling, such as AWS.
• Software engineering experience and familiarity with production ML practices.
• Experience presenting research findings and technical recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
