Embedded Engineer

About the role:
We are looking for an Embedded Software Engineer Consultant to develop firmware and low-level software for defense hardware — unmanned systems, sensors and edge devices operating in harsh and contested environments.

Responsibilities:
— Design and develop firmware and embedded software for UAV/UGV, sensor and communication modules.
— Integrate sensors, cameras, radios and peripherals (UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, Ethernet).
— Develop and optimize software for flight controllers and edge compute platforms.
— Deploy and optimize AI/CV models on embedded hardware together with the ML team.
— Debug and test on real hardware, including field tests.
— Ensure reliability, fault tolerance and resilience under EW conditions.

Requirements:
— Hands-on experience in MilTech / Defense projects (e.g., UAV/UGV, ISR, EW, C2, targeting, sensor systems) — required.
— 3+ years of experience in embedded software development.
— Strong C/C++ skills; experience with RTOS (FreeRTOS, Zephyr or similar) and/or embedded Linux.
— Experience with microcontrollers (STM32, ESP32 or similar) and hardware communication protocols.
— Ability to read schematics and work with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers and debuggers.
— English — Upper-Intermediate or higher.

Nice to have:
— Experience with PX4 / ArduPilot, MAVLink, Betaflight / INAV.
— Experience with NVIDIA Jetson, Raspberry Pi, Rockchip or other edge AI platforms.
— Experience with radio links, video transmission, GNSS or anti-jamming solutions.
— Military service background.
