Frontend Engineer

About the Role:

We are looking for a Head of Frontend Development to take ownership of the frontend architecture across a portfolio of B2C casino brands and lead the development of a new B2B iGaming platform from scratch.

You will combine hands-on technical leadership with people management, overseeing a distributed team of 20–25 frontend engineers, including Team Leads and Senior Developers.

This is an opportunity to shape the frontend technology strategy, drive architectural decisions, introduce engineering best practices, and build a high-performance product in a fast-growing iGaming environment.

What You’ll Do:

• Take full ownership of the frontend architecture across multiple B2C casino brands.

• Lead the development of a new, scalable and high-performance B2B casino platform from scratch using SvelteKit.

• Ensure existing B2C products remain secure, performant and technically up to date.

• Define frontend architecture, coding standards and engineering best practices.

• Make key technical decisions and conduct high-quality code reviews.

• Lead, mentor and develop a distributed team of 20–25 frontend engineers, including Team Leads and Senior Developers.

• Build a culture of ownership, accountability, continuous improvement and psychological safety.

• Drive the adoption and practical integration of AI-powered development tools and workflows.

• Work closely with Product, Design, Backend and DevOps teams.

• Translate complex business requirements into scalable, responsive and real-time user experiences.

• Ensure frontend applications can handle high traffic, low latency and frequent real-time data updates.

Requirements:

Technical

• Strong professional experience with JavaScript and modern frontend development.

• Excellent knowledge of React and large-scale frontend application architecture.

• Strong understanding of frontend performance optimization, especially for high-traffic and real-time applications.

• Solid experience with AWS and modern cloud infrastructure.

• Understanding of services and technologies such as CloudFront, S3 and CI/CD pipelines.

• Experience designing frontend systems that can scale reliably in production.

• Strong understanding of modern software engineering practices, architecture and code quality.

• SvelteKit experience is a strong advantage.

Leadership

• Proven experience managing or leading remote frontend teams of approximately 20–25 engineers.

• Experience managing teams through Team Leads and Senior Engineers.

• Strong technical leadership skills and the ability to make architectural decisions.

• Ability to mentor engineers and develop strong technical leaders.

• Experience building effective distributed teams across multiple time zones.

• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.

• Ability to balance technical excellence with business priorities.

Nice to Have:

• Previous experience in the iGaming / online casino industry.

• Experience building B2C products with high traffic and real-time functionality.

• Experience launching a frontend platform from the ground up.

• Experience introducing AI tools into software engineering workflows.
