Full Stack Engineer
Who we are
FansCreator (fanscreator.ai) is an unrestricted AI image and video generation platform. Today our main customers are creators and agencies, but the platform isn't limited to them. We're profitable, growing 30% month over month, and our founders have sold three businesses for seven figures and more.
The work
We're hiring a senior full-stack engineer to become the main person who knows the system end to end. You'll build customer features from 0 to 1 in Python (FastAPI) and TypeScript (React). You'll also harden payments, security and compliance.
What you'll do
- Build customer features from 0 to 1 in Python, TypeScript and React, and keep them working in production. Make the data accurate and the interface clear.
- Investigate production problems using logs, metrics and the actual request and job flow. Identify who is affected, contain the problem and verify the fix.
- Keep payments correct: checkout, recurring charges, payment webhooks, refunds and chargebacks.
- Keep AI render jobs reliable. Handle retries, duplicate events, slow providers and worker failures without losing data or letting one account hold up everyone else.
- Harden security: separation between workspaces, roles and permissions, webhook signatures. Protect our APIs against abuse.
- Improve database queries, worker capacity and scheduling based on measurements. Add tests for the failures we cannot afford to repeat.
- Challenge a decision when you think we're solving the wrong problem. Explain the alternative and its tradeoffs.
Security issues, payment errors and incorrect customer data take priority. We agree with the team which product work comes next.
What we need from you
- You have 3+ years shipping and maintaining Python applications (FastAPI or Django) with real users, and you're comfortable building in TypeScript and React.
- You have operated queue or worker systems in production. You understand concurrency, retries, duplicate execution, backpressure and how databases and external services limit throughput.
- You have built payment integrations: hosted checkout, recurring charges, webhooks, refunds and chargebacks.
- You can describe a production incident you personally investigated, the evidence that led to the cause and how you proved the fix worked.
- You check that data means what the product says it means. Missing information, failed requests and legitimate zero values need different handling.
- You use AI regularly and can show how it improves your work. You verify its output and understand the code you ship.
- You investigate problems independently, keep the team informed and raise blockers early. You know when to involve someone else in a decision.
- Strongly preferred: hands-on production work with generative image and video APIs: async render jobs, LoRA fine-tuning, video processing with ffmpeg.
Preferred: production experience with generative image/video APIs and the checks around them (moderation, face verification, output quality).
Your own projects count as much as years. A product you built and shipped yourself tells us as much as time in a job.
Nice to have
Published SDKs, OpenAPI, MCP tools, security testing, PostHog, experience with creator platforms or comfort with the adult creator industry. Public code is welcome; confidential commercial work also counts if you can explain your contribution.
How we work
We're a small team. We work asynchronously and review progress weekly. Keep the team informed about decisions, blockers and incidents. We care about work reaching customers and continuing to work after release.
We will discuss working-hour overlap, incident coverage, response expectations and any on-call arrangement before an offer.
How we hire
A debugging exercise, a 30-minute technical walkthrough, then a decision. You have six-seven 🤷♂️ hours, including setup. The process usually takes under two weeks. You can use AI throughout; we'll ask you to explain your code and decisions.
