Full Stack Engineer
Senior Full Stack Developer (Svelte / TypeScript / Python)
We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer with strong commercial experience in Svelte to join our team building a Sustainable Sourcing Platform that helps large corporations become deforestation-free, carbon-positive, and compliant with sustainability regulations.
Our platform is built with TypeScript, Svelte, Google Firebase, and Mapbox. You will work across the full stack and closely collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams.
⚠️ Important: Svelte is a must-have
Real-world commercial experience with Svelte is required.
We are not considering candidates without hands-on Svelte experience in production projects.
Experience with React, Vue, Angular, or other JavaScript frameworks does not substitute for Svelte experience.
What you’ll do
- Develop and maintain our Sustainable Sourcing Platform for large corporations
- Build new features primarily with Svelte and TypeScript
- Design, build, and implement changes across the full stack: frontend, backend, and infrastructure
- Provide technical feedback on product prototypes
- Participate actively in sprint planning, technical discussions, and code reviews
- Work with other developers to plan implementations and break down complex tasks
- Contribute to technical architecture and design decisions
- Design and build REST and/or GraphQL APIs
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues
- Collaborate closely with Product and Design on feature scope and delivery
- Help maintain high-quality engineering practices, including testing, Git workflows, and CI/CD
Requirements
Must have
- Commercial hands-on experience with Svelte in production projects
- 5+ years of professional experience with TypeScript
- 5+ years of professional experience with Python
- Strong understanding of modern frontend development and JavaScript/TypeScript ecosystem
- Experience with serverless technologies such as Firebase, AWS, GCP, or similar
- Experience designing and building REST and/or GraphQL APIs
- Strong understanding of Git-based workflows and CI/CD
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment
- Ability to work independently and contribute to architectural and technical decisions
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a small, cross-functional team
- English: B2+
Nice to have
- Experience with PostGIS or other geospatial technologies
- Experience with Mapbox
- Experience working with geospatial data
- Experience with Google Firebase
About the project
You’ll be joining a product that helps large organizations make their supply chains more sustainable and comply with increasingly complex environmental regulations.
The role reports directly to the Head of App and offers an opportunity to have a significant impact on both the product and its technical direction.
Please note: Svelte experience is a core requirement for this position. Candidates whose experience is limited to other frontend frameworks without commercial Svelte experience will not be considered.
