One of our international defence-tech clients — an early-stage European company developing autonomous technology for airspace security — is looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer (Full Stack) to join their core team and own software integration and feature development for the product, working closely with customers in the field.
The team is small and high-output, with strong engineering and business backgrounds, united by a mission to make modern airspace safer.
About the project goal
Software integration of the client’s system into partner systems, and development/integration of new features requested by clients.

Requirements
- Strong experience building and maintaining APIs and backend systems
- Practical experience with Python, FastAPI, Node.js, PostgreSQL and AWS
- Solid database design and management experience
- Comfortable working across the full stack and owning features end-to-end
- Experience building software for hardware-integrated or real-time systems
- Pragmatic engineer who can move fast in a small, high-output team
- Background in defense, dual-use, or other regulated tech sectors is a plus
- Conversational English
Responsibilities
- Design, build and maintain the APIs and databases behind the product and internal tools
- Own features end-to-end — from backend logic to integration points — working across the full stack
- Rapidly build and adapt software tools and configurations to solve customer-specific problems in the field
- Integrate the system with partner platforms and collaborate with ML, hardware and UI teams on the wider system
- Turn field feedback and operational requirements directly into product changes
