Full Stack Engineer
We are looking for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to join a US-based HealthTech startup developing AI-powered solutions that automate operational processes for medical clinics and specialized practices. The product helps clinics streamline time-consuming front-office operations such as insurance scoring, insurance workflows, patient scheduling, payments, and other administrative processes.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain agentic workflows that automate multi-step healthcare front-office processes end-to-end.
- Develop integrations with EHR systems, payer portals, and clearinghouses using APIs and structured data pipelines.
- Build and improve the product dashboard used by medical practices in their day-to-day operations.
- Develop full-stack functionality across backend services, data models, APIs, and deployment.
- Design and implement LLM-powered features and AI agents.
- Build and maintain browser automation workflows for interacting with external healthcare systems.
- Work with voice AI agents and integrate voice-based capabilities into the product.
- Contribute to architecture and make technical decisions that support scalability and long-term product growth.
- Ensure solutions follow HIPAA requirements and healthcare data security best practices when handling protected health information (PHI).
- Collaborate closely with the product team and take ownership of features from scoping to delivery.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in backend engineering and building production systems.
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure.
- Experience with Next.js.
- Solid understanding of React.js and front-end development.
- Experience building and shipping LLM-powered features or agentic systems.
- Hands-on experience with Playwright or similar browser automation tools.
- Experience building or integrating voice AI agents.
- Strong understanding of APIs, integrations, and data pipelines.
- Understanding of HIPAA compliance, PHI, and healthcare data security.
- Ability to work effectively in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment and independently scope, prioritize, and deliver solutions.
- Strong product mindset and ability to think beyond the technical implementation.
- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Nice to Have:
- Experience integrating with EHR systems.
- Experience in an early-stage startup, preferably pre-Series A.
- Background in Healthcare IT or other regulated industries.
- Hands-on experience working with HIPAA-compliant systems or environments.
- Experience designing multi-tenant SaaS architectures.
- Experience working with healthcare data and workflows.
