Manual QA Engineer

We are looking for a skilled and proactive Middle+ Manual QA Engineer to join an engineering team building a fast-growing FinTech application. In this role, you will be working on a platform positioned at the intersection of social media, payments, and rewards, enabling users to get instant cashback, pay bills, and manage digital/virtual cards. Collaboration with the team and client will be aligned with the Eastern Time (ET) zone to ensure smooth communication with US-based stakeholders.

About the project

A high-growth FinTech platform designed to make everyday spending rewarding and seamless. It allows users to earn instant cashback, manage finances via digital and virtual cards, grow their referral rewards circle, and conduct safe payments. The backend is powered by Node.js, GraphQL, PostgreSQL, and Redis (deployed on GCP with Docker and GitLab CI), while the mobile app is built with React Native and Apollo.

What will you do?

• Create, execute, and maintain comprehensive test plans and test cases to evaluate the functionality, usability, and reliability of web and mobile applications.
• Continuously test and monitor applications to identify, document, and track software defects with clear replication steps and supporting materials.
• Perform thorough regression, cross-browser, cross-platform, and exploratory testing to validate system stability and compatibility.
• Conduct API testing (GraphQL / REST APIs) to validate integrations and backend workflows.
• Maintain up-to-date QA documentation, test repositories, and progress reports.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and cross-functional team members to clarify requirements, address issues promptly, and improve product quality.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal quality standards while contributing to continuous process improvements.

What are we looking for?

• 2+ years of proven work experience in Manual Quality Assurance for web and mobile applications (React Native / Node.js stack context).
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, QA principles, test management tools, emulators, and debugging tools.
• Proficiency in manual web and mobile application testing, including regression, cross-browser, cross-platform, and exploratory testing.
• Hands-on experience with API testing (GraphQL / REST APIs) and integration validation.
• Proven ability to create, execute, and maintain clear and structured test documentation.
• Attention to detail and strong capability to identify edge cases and unexpected software behaviors.
• Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum processes and active participation in development ceremonies.
• English: Upper-Intermediate (written and spoken) for daily collaboration with US-based stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with test automation concepts or frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Cypress, or similar).
• Basic experience or exposure to performance and load testing tools (e.g., Apache JMeter or similar).
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, Docker, or GitLab version control workflows.
