Manual QA Engineer

Software Service & Innovation (SSI) is looking for a skilled QA Engineer (4+ years of experience) to join our team in Lviv. You will work on an innovative Enterprise Product for the European market in direct collaboration with a Swiss product company.

About the Project:

The project is a digital document system built for a Swiss product company. It uses smart AI and Machine Learning technologies to help businesses organize their files faster and make work much easier. The product is already working, stable, and has hundreds of real users. Right now, we are building many new features and updates, so we need a QA professional to ensure the high quality of new functionality, complex integrations, and data layers.

Technical Stack & Tools:

• Backend: Python (Flask), REST, gRPC, GraphQL.
• Frontend: JS React, TypeScript.
• Databases & Tools: MongoDB, SQL, NoSQL, Docker, Git, GitLab.

Your Role & Responsibilities:

• Quality Ownership: Perform full-cycle manual testing (functional, regression, integration, and exploratory) for backend and frontend layers.
• API & Integration Testing: Verify complex workflows involving multiple communication protocols (REST, gRPC, GraphQL).
• Requirements Analysis: Analyze project requirements and collaborate with developers to prevent bugs before the coding phase.
• Agile Collaboration: Work within a flexible Scrum/Kanban environment where sprints are managed by features delivered rather than strict time boxes.
• Test Documentation: Create and maintain clear, structured test cases, checklists, and bug reports.

Requirements:

• Experience: 4+ years of commercial experience in software testing (web-based enterprise applications).
• API Testing: Strong hands-on experience in testing APIs using tools like Postman (REST, and ideally GraphQL or gRPC).
• Databases: Proficiency in writing SQL queries and working with NoSQL (MongoDB) databases.
• Tools & DevOps Basics: Good understanding of Git/GitLab, browser developer tools, and basic knowledge of Docker.
• English: Upper-Intermediate level or higher (essential for comfortable daily communication with the Swiss product team).

Nice to have (will be a strong plus):

• Experience or strong interest in Test Automation (especially using Playwright with Python or JS/TS).
• Experience with testing AI/ML-driven features or data-heavy document management systems.
