Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Manual QA Tester to join our product and engineering team.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience testing modern web applications and validating complex end-to-end workflows.
This role is primarily focused on manual, functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing.
You will work closely with developers, product managers, and QA automation engineers to ensure high-quality releases.
Primary Responsibilities
• Perform manual testing of new features, enhancements, bug fixes, and releases.
• Create, maintain, and execute detailed test cases, test scenarios, and test plans.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke, usability, and exploratory testing.
• Validate end-to-end workflows across the HelloNote platform.
• Identify, reproduce, document, and track software defects.
• Provide clear defect reproduction steps, expected results, actual results, screenshots, videos, logs, and supporting details.
• Retest resolved defects and perform appropriate regression testing.
• Test applications across supported browsers, devices, and screen resolutions.
• Validate user roles, permissions, configurations, and business rules.
• Test REST APIs using Postman when needed.
• Review requirements and acceptance criteria to identify missing scenarios and edge cases.
• Collaborate with developers and product stakeholders throughout feature development.
• Participate in Agile planning, refinement, standups, demos, and retrospectives.
• Assist with release validation and production smoke testing.
• Identify gaps in test coverage and recommend improvements.
• Work with QA automation engineers to identify test scenarios suitable for automation.
Technical Skills
• Minimum 2+ years of hands-on manual software testing experience.
• Experience using defect tracking and work management tool with Azure DevOps — MUST
• Strong experience testing web-based SaaS applications.
• Extensive experience creating, executing, and maintaining test cases.
• Strong understanding of functional, regression, integration, smoke, exploratory, and end-to-end testing.
• Experience testing applications built using .NET Core and Angular or similar modern web technologies.
• Experience using browser developer tools for troubleshooting.
• Experience testing REST APIs using Postman.
• Understanding of HTTP requests, responses, status codes, and JSON.
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and QA lifecycle.

Requirements
• 2+ years of professional software QA or testing experience.
• Strong hands-on manual testing experience.
• Experience using AI tools to improve QA productivity, including test scenario generation, test case analysis, edge-case identification, test data generation, defect investigation, and QA documentation. (edited)

• Experience identifying, documenting, and managing software defects.
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies and testing best practices.
• Ability to translate product requirements into comprehensive test scenarios.

Nice to Have
• Experience testing healthcare, EMR, EHR, practice management, billing, or related software.
• Familiarity with healthcare workflows including scheduling, documentation, billing, insurance, and patient management.
• Experience testing SaaS applications.
• Basic SQL knowledge for data validation.
• Experience with Postman and REST API testing.
• Familiarity with Playwright or other automated testing frameworks.
• Experience working alongside QA automation engineers.
• Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and browser developer tools.
