QA Engineer
BIScience is looking for a Strong Middle QA Engineer to join our Kyiv-based team in a full-time role and work on our existing and new browser extensions.
Our extensions are available for major browsers and are used by more than 10 million users worldwide. Our product portfolio includes VPN solutions, ad blockers, web protection tools, AI aggregators, and other browser-based products.
In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring reliable product delivery by performing comprehensive testing of new features, product changes, and releases. You will collaborate closely with the Product Owner and Engineering team throughout the entire development lifecycle from reviewing requirements and planning features to validating changes and supporting product launches.
Responsibilities
- Creating and maintaining test documentation: test cases, checklists, test plans, regression suites
- Perform functional, end-to-end, regression, integration, exploratory, compatibility, and post-release testing of browser extensions
- Communicate testing progress, blockers, quality risks, and release readiness to the team
- Create clear, reproducible, and well-documented bug report
- Work closely and communicate effectively with development and other teams to understand the features and create comprehensive test plans to verify functionality
Requirements
- 2+ years of commercial experience in software quality assurance
- Experience using AI tools for workflow optimization
- Strong ability to evaluate a product from the end-user perspective and identify UX and usability issues beyond documented requirements
- Ability to independently test a feature from requirements analysis through QA sign-off
- Ability to convert business requirements and acceptance criteria into comprehensive test scenarios
- Strong web testing experience
- Understanding of client-server architecture, HTTP/HTTPS, REST APIs, JSON
- Confident use of browser Developer Tools, including Console, Network, Application, and browser storage
- Basic SQL knowledge
- Basic Linux commands knowledge
- GIT, JIRA, Confluence
- English B2 (both spoken and written)
Nice to have:
- Previous experience testing Chrome or Edge extensions
- Basic knowledge of JavaScript
- Test automation experience is an advantage but is not required
- Academic IT education on master’s level in Computer Science or Engineering
