Systems Administrator

Within the context of our rapid growth, SMILE UKRAINE is looking for a talented Systems Administrator / SysOps.

Job Description

This position requires investigation and resolution of software and hardware problems of the company infrastructure, its setup, evolution and maintenance.

Responsibilities:

• Investigate and resolve software and hardware problems of the company infrastructure through established processes and procedures (Helpdesk)
• Setup and maintain hardware and software
• Work together with the team and external parties in troubleshooting/resolving outages and other incidents to ensure performance and stability
• Maintain technical documentation
• Proactively deal with monitoring alerts

Requirements:

• Working experience as a System Administrator / SysOps
• Strong administration/engineering experience of Linux/Unix OS and its services
• Strong understanding of the networking, security and encryption (routing, SSL/TLS, SSH, IPSEC), VPN solutions (WireGuard, OpenVPN)
• Strong understanding of hardware and software updates, migration and decommission procedures
• Good knowledge of Directory management (OpenLDAP, Apereo CAS)
• Good knowledge of authentication and authorization services and protocols (LDAP, Keycloak, SSO, MFA)
• Good knowledge of at least one monitoring solution (New Relic, Zabbix or similar)
• Good knowledge of VCS and CI/CD pipelines (Gitlab)
• Good knowledge of virtualization technologies (Proxmox, LXC, Docker)
• Understanding of security standards (ISO/IEC 27001)
• Understanding of issue management systems
• Understanding of database setup and management (MySQL, PostgreSQL)
• Good communication skills
• Good written and spoken English
