DevOps Engineer

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer (Network Focus) with a strong hands-on engineering background to join an international product development team for a UK-based client in the RegTech sector. This is a great opportunity for an experienced professional who wants to work on cutting-edge, highly secure cloud network architectures in a fully remote, flexible environment.

Our client is a leader in financial compliance technology, building a cloud-native platform that helps businesses manage, analyze, and secure communication data across multiple channels.
 

What You'll Do:

• Support, maintain, and scale existing cloud infrastructure on Azure with a strong emphasis on network topology, reliability, and security.
• Design, configure, and manage complex Azure networking architectures (VNETs, ExpressRoute, VPN Gateways, Traffic Manager).
• Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform for both compute and advanced networking resources.
• Configure and maintain network security, application protection, and traffic management (including integration with F5 solutions).
• Build and support Kubernetes clusters with a deep focus on container networking (CNI), ingress/egress controllers, and secure cloud networking.
• Participate in the refactoring and modernization of infrastructure to meet strict financial compliance and network isolation standards.
• Configure, optimize, and support CI/CD pipelines for application delivery.
• Set up and maintain deep network monitoring, logging, and alerting systems (e.g., Azure Network Watcher).
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and routing issues, and participate in incident resolution.
• Collaborate closely with development teams to ensure smooth deployments and stable, secure environments.
   

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience as a Senior DevOps with deep, hands-on experience in Azure.
• Advanced knowledge of networking concepts (VNET peering, firewalls, load balancing, routing protocols, DNS, ExpressRoute, VPNs).
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools, specifically Terraform, for provisioning network and cloud infrastructure.
• Proficiency in Windows and Linux OS.
• Strong understanding of cloud and network security architectures (Zero Trust, NSGs, WAF).
• Experience with containerization and their network integrations (Docker, Kubernetes, Azure Container Apps).
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation tools (preferably Azure DevOps).
• Hands-on experience with monitoring network health and infrastructure (Azure Monitor, Network Watcher, etc.).
• Experience in cloud cost management and optimizing network traffic costs.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset in diagnosing complex network-related incidents.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

   

Nice to Have:

• Active Azure Networking Certifications (e.g., AZ-700: Designing and Implementing Microsoft Azure Networking Solutions) are highly desirable.
• Hands-on experience with F5 Networks (BIG-IP, LTM, APM, or Advanced WAF) would be a massive advantage.
• Experience with compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2)
